Abstracts are a way to keep my mind fresh, and my use of photo equipment fluid.  It allows me to break the rules, reach beyond the traditional -- experiment with light, pattern, texture and line in ways never done by anyone else in quite the same way.  Some of my more contemporary series, including Deconstructed, and Portals, are abstracted works.
