I've always had an affinity for farms, and later ranches.  I grew up in corn country, drove my car fast between the fields and have always appreciated the vast openness of the landscape and the minimalism of the fields before me in their simple textures and dotted landscapes.  The patterns of fence lines, field rows, irrigation canals and crisscrossed roadways have contributed to my photographic eye, well as providing a foundation for living with purpose and appreciation, whether now living by the ocean, in a desert, or up high in the mountains.
